LEAP! Beyond the Limits of the Human Experience
by Katrina Pfannkuch
Consider this: life as you know it is an illusion — a hologram you created complete with friends, family, job, home — almost like a video game. Isaac Allen and Chad Cameron, creators of Leap! The Movie, want you to imagine just that, and to consider what impact this concept would have on your actions, thoughts, life, and ultimately your happiness.

It was this idea that inspired the film Leap! — an exploration of life as a hologram, showing that what we think of as our reality (life) and beliefs are just projections of our own mind. The duo interviewed over 20 people — including Dan Millman, Gary Renard, Fred Alan Wolf, James Twyman and Joe Vitale — who have come to similar conclusions and contributed their thoughts to the film.

So why did these two guys in Loveland, Colorado, decide to make a movie? Well, it’s simple: they wanted to share their “model” with others in a way that was interesting and easy to digest. “We wanted to show our perspective: an alternate way for people to look at their lives, a way to clear judgments and expectations, instead of living from fear and lack. Our goal is that people walk away feeling empowered,” says Allen.

Who Are the Leap! Guys?
Allen, a father of two young daughters, spent over 20 years in the corporate world where he became very frustrated with the lack of integrity in business among high-level executives.

Cameron, a local technology business owner approaching burn-out, sold his business in 2008 after producing a documentary short profiling a local disabled woman. This opened Cameron to the world of film-making, and ignited a whole new passion.

Each on their own personal search for truth, the two met in a local community leadership program and quickly bonded, once they discovered they were researching the same ideas independently. A few lunches later, they were reaching similar conclusions about life, spirit and the meaning of living consciously. Soon after, Leap! Ventures was born.

The Leap! Philosophy
The Leap! Philosophy is derived from one core thought: all we need to do is wake up to who we truly are. The life we are living is a game of our own creation, our piece of the experience among billions of others having their own experience, but originating from one main source. As we “wake up,” we experience life from two different vantage points: our higher self (a vantage point outside “the game”) and through our persona (the character in “the game”).

“From a holographic perspective, what we experience as our life really only exists as a projection of our mind — an elaborate 3D hologram. Holograms are similar to dreams as neither is “real.” Dreams appear and feel real. But when we wake up, they’re gone! If we acknowledge we operate in a “dream/game” state, we can “wake up” and the hologram can be seen for what it is — an illusion.

The philosophy is incredibly powerful because it brings the power back to us. However, there is one catch. We must give up being a victim and take 100% responsibility for everything,” says Cameron.
“From the scientific perspective, when you break down matter to the level of the very small, you don’t find smaller pieces of matter, you find only energy. For example we can’t pinpoint the location of an electron in three-dimensional space. So tangible items such as a table, chair or house are also, in fact, just projections of our mind,” adds Cameron.

Family, friends, jobs, pain and happiness are parts of our life experience which also seem real and very important to our journey, however, not necessarily from a universal perspective, according Cameron and Allen. How we choose to react and deal with these experiences is the journey, and impacts the game/hologram. “Our life is just like a movie or a play, and people go on and off the main stage — they all contribute to the experience but they don’t create it for us,” says Allen.

Leap! The Movie
The movie, Leap!, is a unique blend of science, psychology, philosophy and spirituality, featuring interviews with experts who share their insight on life as a hologram, and how to change core perceptions to live a life led by inspiration.

The Leap! guys believe that the benefits of knowing we are not our “skin suit” are endless, and the movie shows how one can break free from self-imposed judgments and limitations. “If the world is an illusion we are free, at peace and not attached to an outcome. With no expectations, there is no reason to be disappointed or desire something different than what we are experiencing. Life is always perfect in the present moment,” says Allen.

“For Chad and me, it was never about making a movie, but about documenting our discovery of the nature of this thing called “reality.” We realized that when we wake up to who we truly are, it’s a very freeing and empowering experience, and we wanted to share that.” says Allen.

“Please keep in mind the Leap! philosophy is just a model, a different and empowering way to look at the game we call life. We have taken the theme of a “temporary world,” common in the majority of spiritual traditions, and comprised a viewpoint to help others “leap” beyond their limits,” says Cameron.
